Winch Boat Certification Training

All P.P.A.E. training programmes are scheduled by appointment only and are currently conducted in Fuengirola, southern Spain or at an appropriate location designated by the client. All P.P.A.E. courses are comprehensive, structured and formalized training programmes developed to aid in improving overall passenger safety and professionalism amongst commercial operators. Our trained and dedicated instructors are extensively experienced and are all knowledgeable, seasoned commercial operators. The training programs are designed to familiarize the trainee with safety standards and techniques, while providing him or her with the tools necessary to develop the knowledge and skills needed to operate safely and competently. The training programme consists of a minimum of 5 days of intensive instruction, covering both theory and practical. We offer courses for captains and crew who are new to the business. Experienced courses, where the skipper and crew require certification and a fair weather courses, where the operator may be having problems flying in anything but perfect conditions i.e. wind.

The P.P.A.E. training manual and O.S.A.G.(Operating Standards and Guidelines) will be issued to all students. Included in the course are the following modules:

• Getting to know your equipment.
• Daily maintenance checks for both the boat and parasail equipment.
• Theory of parasailing.
• Untangling a parachute.
• Meteorology and the affect on your operation.
• Emergency procedures.
• Flying distances from the beach and obstacles e.g. boats.
• Air law.
• Boat handling and flying procedures.
• Launch and recovery of the parachute.
• Low wind, high wind procedures.
• Take off and landing of passengers.

Each of the above will be followed by a question and answer period. If there is any part of the course that you do not understand you must ask. You are responsible for the people you fly.

On successful completion of the course, you will be issued with an A4 size certificate, a credit card size, plastic license and P.P.A.E. membership which is valid for five years and is renewable.
